About Us

Alpha Signs & Graphics was founded in 1984 as a family business by Roy Henderson at his home in Tintinhull. The business fast outstripped the space available and moved to Vagg Park in 1986 where it remains today. It was amongst the first local sign companies to advance into digital printing in the nineties with the acquisition of a Roland Colorcam ribbon printer, which at the time was state of the art, and grew into one of the prime local suppliers of quality signmaking.

Upon Roy's retirement in 2002 the business was bought by Oliver Rushworth who is still the current owner. Oliver's background is in traditional signwriting, developed working alongside his father in Sherborne trading as 'The Signwriter'.

Further development of the business has progressed with the acquisition of new equipment including a new Roland Versacam sp-540v digital printer in 2006. This printer has allowed Alpha Signs to offer its customers a much wider range of services in line with the latest digital print technology, with materials ranging from conformable vinyls to banner materials and digitally printed wallpapers.

Developing partnerships and acquiring new equipment has allowed Alpha Signs to broaden its range of products and services and we can now offer a complete package from business cards and letterheads to web design and promotion services alongside traditional and contemporary signmaking.

Alpha Signs & Graphics' ongoing growth and improved range led it to become a limited company in 2007 under the name Alphaimage Ltd with Alpha Signs & Graphics as a trading name. Further development in 2008 involves a move to larger premises within Vagg Park and ongoing improvements in our product range.
