OUR PROJECTS
We have been designing, manufacturing and installing signs in the South West and across the UK since our business was first established in Yeovil, Somerset, in 1984. It's a massive portfolio of quality work, great ideas and happy customers but here are a few of our favourites....
Ilchester Primary School Library
Dahl 'book' case
Quite possibly one of our all time favourite projects...
.
We were asked to come up with some ideas to run alongside the re-fit of Ilchester Primary Schools new library, predominantly centered around making a rather large, but very clever, extending bookcase look a little less ... dull.
Co-incidentally the BFG was on the reading list at home and ended up being looked at a little 'sideways' , thoroughly distracting the kids at bedtime. And so the Book-Book shelf idea was born, and they loved it! Book spines were sourced and photographed, design and print time was put in using the ever-capable Metamark MD5a sign vinyl and the results were just brilliant. The opposing wall ended up with a familiar quote from 'Matilda', another favourite, and the outcome was a project which truly achieved the 'wow' factor for the staff, governors and , most importantly, the pupils.
Kingcombe Stonbury
Crewkerne site signage
This project was to remove and replace a full suite of signage to an office and warehouse in Crewkerne for the water environment specialists Kingcombe Stonbury.

It's remained a favourite as an example of just how to make layers work beautifully in what could have been plain panels. Base panels are flat aluminium composite with a printed watermark of the brands dragonfly logo, built over which we have bonded layers of dark blue and white gloss acrylic routed to logo and letter shapes. On the larger panels these were fitted with standoffs for an extra layer of depth.

Overall it has stood out as a remarkably simple yet effective suite of panels with a high gloss, high impact finish.
Screwfix Transit Custom
Most wrapped van award
This has to get the prize as the most wrapped van we've come across. Starting life as a humble plain white transit custom, this has been the promotional vehicle for Screwfix to use for it's events. Counting back, we've wrapped and unwrapped it in full livery a total of eight times now.
Only a few favourites shown here but it's looked fabulous every time.
Tea pod trailer
Urgent wrap project
At the very beginning of lockdown#1 we were approached by a customer to wrap a caterpod trailer for use at an NHS venue where staff canteen facilities were closed for obvious reasons. At speed and as a one person project to comply with restrictrions we produced this little beauty and it went straight up to North London to keep some very important people well fed and looked after.
The owner was delighted and we even got 'George' the dog on the front cover.
